This turkey container is constructed from a tiny box of tissues, so that each day during November we could note something we’re thankful to be thankful for, and then feed it the bird. At Thanksgiving, when we’re all together as the family, we’ll get all of the papers and read them aloud.
There are a variety of ways to personalize the lesson. You could use it as the entire class, and then have students fill out the prompt and write down the things they are thankful for.
It can also be used as a part of the family dinner and have the family members record the thing they are grateful for the most. The box is then placed on the table to allow guests to take a look at the card before placing it in the turkey. A Guide to This Thanksgiving Activity
1. Spread out a liner or paper to cover your work surface. Paint some acrylic brown onto paper or a palette plate.

4. Put a Glue Dot at the feather’s bottom. Add them to inside to the box to make turkey feathers. If glue dots aren’t readily available, you can glue feathers using hot tape or a gun. Acacia might also be a good choice.
