How to Draw Wolverine

This drawing tutorial will teach you how to draw Wolverine, one of the most popular and charismatic comic book characters.

We love comics, as you may already know. We love teaching you how to draw them. We have shown you many times how to draw characters from comic books. You can find all these drawing instructions in our Comics category.

Because Wolverine is one of our favorite characters, this guide will show you how to draw it. Let’s draw this character if you love it too.

How to draw a wolverine

Step 1: Sketch the guidelines

Begin by drawing the outline of the head, chest, and pelvis. Next, draw a simple line to trace the spine. You should only be able to see the lines from the first steps.

Step 2: Sketch the Limbs

You should draw the limbs using simple lines. You should mark all connections with small circles. Give Wolverine’s legs a combat-looking look.

Step 3 – Draw the Guidelines for the Face

Drawing the face will be easier if you use the two intersecting lines drawn on the head of Wolverine. Next, draw a few light lines around the torso.

Step 4 – Increase Volume in the Arms

Begin by adding volume to the arms starting at the shoulders. Next, draw them as balls. Next, draw the upper and lower arms in a cylindrical shape. Sketch Wolverine’s fists at the end of this step.

Step 5: Add volume to the legs

Sketch the volume of the thighs from the top. Next, draw the shins. They taper to the ankles. Next, draw your feet.

Step 6 – Draw details of the Face

Sketch out the eyes for Wolverine using the horizontal construction line. Next, draw the mouth and the nose.

Step 7 – Draw the Wolverine Mask

Begin by drawing two straight lines that run from the nose upwards and along the sides. Next, draw the sides of the ears. Draw the opening of your mask.

Step 8 – Draw your Torso

Begin by drawing the powerful pectoral muscles that Wolverine has. Next, sketch the shoulder pads. Next, draw the outline of the abdomen and the upper edge of the waistband.

Step 9 – Draw the Muscles of the Arms

Be sure to accurately draw the arms curves.

Step 10 – Draw your fists

Use the lines you have drawn before to draw your fingers. Remember to look in the mirror to verify the proportionality of the Wolverine drawing.

Step 11 – Draw the Claws Of Wolverine

The claws should be slightly spread to the sides. The middle claw should be slightly longer than the others. Due to visual contraction, the claws on Wolverine’s left hand should be slightly shorter.

Step 12 – Draw the Muscles of your Thighs

Remember to draw the muscles of your thighs. The legs in this region will widen slightly from the hips towards the midsection, and then taper to the knees.

Step 13 – Draw Wolverine Boots

Wolverine’s boots look like his mask. These unusual shoes are best if all parts are equally proportional. One part should not appear longer than the others.

Step 14 – Draw all the details

First, draw lines that will separate the gloves and skin. Next, draw stripes along the sides and shoulders of Wolverine’s torso. Next, draw light and slightly curving lines on the arms to create the hairs.

Step 15 – Delete the Guidelines

You can give the Wolverine drawing an even more comical look by erasing all unnecessary guidelines. To give your drawing a more expressive and contrastive look, darken the lines.

Step 16 – Color your Wolverine Drawing

We chose the right colors to depict Wolverine wearing his classic costume since we had already decided to draw him in it. Yellow was used for the main parts, while black was used for the ears and lines of the mask. Blue was used for the shoulder pads and gloves. Blue-gray was used for the claws. Yellow pink was used for the skin.

To make your Wolverine drawings more authentic, you can add contrasting comic shadows. This drawing instruction will help you draw Wolverine several times more. You can change his clothes and paint them in different colors.
