How to draw Mythical Creatures Step by Step

Below is a step-by-step drawing tutorial.

How to draw a Dalmatian Dog Step by Step Tutorial

Step 1

We chose to draw a creature that has wings and two tails, instead of just legs. We’re now sketching a basic human skeleton. (We’ve already drawn most of our human lessons), but let’s not draw legs. Let’s instead draw strong curves which will eventually become two tails.

Step 2

Next, draw the arms and torso using simple geometric shapes. Next, draw two long and thick tails on the back and two large wings. It’s a very strange creature, isn’t it?

Step 3

Line your eyes carefully and then frown. Draw a pointed nose, half of a mouth and sharp fangs. Draw the contour of the cheekbones, wrinkles, and eliminate any unnecessary guide lines.

Step 4

This is the final step in drawing our mythical creature’s head. Gently pull the hair out. Next, create a long beard like the one in this example. Make sure to get rid of any unnecessary lines.

Step 5

We will now move down and begin to draw the details of the mythical creature’s body. Draw the outline of the abdomen, pectoral muscles and outline of the torso.

Step 6

Let’s now focus on the arms. We should have strong and large arm muscles, according to myths, legends and fantasy. Let’s now draw the outline of our muscles and large palm, as shown in the example.

Step 7

Let’s now deal with the lower half of the character’s body. We will now draw two tails. They are located on the same position as the legs. This is done by using long, straight, and curved lines.

Step 8

This step will finish drawing the character’s body but not the mythical creature lesson. This is where we draw the wings of our character. Use long, bright lines to draw feather lines as in the example.

Step 9

We will now draw the shadow. These shadows are drawn in a very realistic way. Use dense contouring mode to achieve such shading. You can also draw shadows or contrasts, as in our comic drawing tutorials.

This lesson taught us how to draw a collective picture of a mythical creature. You can use the tips in our lesson to create the characters you desire. Don’t forget to let us know your ideas and suggestions.
