Apache Drawing Step by Step Tutorial
Step 1

Step 13
The image that goes with this step shows two distinct methods of holding your pencil in order to create certain effects. Perfect holding a pointed pencil when writing normally with your hands in the middle or near the tip will give you control over fine or detailed strokes. Understand how to hold your pencil in a 45 degree angle, or near the table . Place the pencil’s tip in your palm and the pencil flat. This will give the user a great amount of coverage. When you use the #2 pencil, there is a lead that’s exposed to shade. However, for a wider area, you can use the Cretacolor Monolith graphite pencil without the wooden case. The whole part that is sharpened is made of lead, exactly as shown in the photo of the process. It is important to practice toning values so that you remain in control.

With my blend stump I smoothed out the outline lines. I also added dimension to her brows, hair and jewellery. I grabbed a tissue and put it all over her face.
Step 19
This is the initial step using pastel color. If you sketch the entire drawing in pencil that’s where you draw circles or lines that shade areas. It takes a long time to draw the entire space with the pencil. I decided to shade it with pastels. With just a few strokes, I got coverage. Apply light gray and medium gray to the face. Medium dark gray for hair shoulders and neck. It appears like something out of place. This is how the beginning of a project may appear. Take your time and continue applying layers of black, white and gray layers. You’ll be able to achieve a stunning outcome.
Step 20
Here, I utilized my blended stump “draw” more lines, making shadows of her eyes hair, hair accessories and neck. I’m looking to lighten areas such as lips, curls, and nose shadow. So I used my “knead” eraser. Tip: The jewelry crystal’s shape is drawn using the stump-hexagon blend shadow and the diamond shade (this will prevent rough edges and motion effects.) After making the adjustments, I spray. Paint using “Krylon Workable Fixatif” to stick firmly to pencils and pastels to the paper to ensure an unsmudged and safe surface.
Step 21
Picture One: I sprayed all the backgrounds with medium gray then filled in the borders with darker gray. Shaded darker bordered areas using blend stumps, and smoothed out the lighter areas using tissue paper. Second image: I used the Kneaded Eraser and created more white hairs. By using the 9B pencil, I added more areas of shade on her head. After that, I applied a workable fixative.
Step 22
In essence, I added more highlights using Opaque Watercolor to catch the sunlight in her eyes. It also adding more shine and light and added a little of shadow over the upper part of her lip. Also, I added a bit of White to her jewelry in tiny areas. Then Madonna “turns on”!
