It is possible to refer to the basic step-by step drawing guide that follows
Handcuffs generally consist of two hoops that are made up from two pieces that are connected via a tiny chain.
We’ll begin drawing the initial part of the bracelet in this initial step of our handcuff drawing tutorial.
Start by drawing a straight line and then draw another curve on top of it. In the middle of the two lines you could join them by a small curving line.
At the start of the lines, you could draw a long , thin line that connects the lines. A second line will be drawn from this line and continue across the bracelet.
If this seems a little unclear, then by referring to the image in the example, it all is much more clear!
Then , we’ll end this process by drawing a few tiny details. This will include a tiny circle near the lower part of the handcuffs, and some at the top.
Then, you can finish by drawing a tiny keyhole on the top of the.
Step 2. Draw the handcuffs’ continuation
Once you’ve drawn the first part in the handcuff’s first loop sketch, you’re now in a position to draw the second paragraph.
The second one is unlocked and then snaps back to fit around a wrist. It also demonstrates the ability of the handcuff that allows you to draw!
To draw this second section you simply need to stretch two curved lines that are parallel to one another starting from the top of the previous section upwards until it’s beneath the keyhole.
The image reference will assist you to determine the angles and the position the second piece must take.
After the outline of this new work has been sketched, you’ll be able to add fine line details to to add more depth. It’s now time to move to step 3.
Step 3: Next create an untidy chain between the handcuffs
In the previous video tutorial on drawing handcuffs, it was mentioned that the two bracelets would be joined by a tiny chain. This is what we’ll draw in the third portion.
Begin with drawing just a tiny circle over the top of the ring that you have just completed drawing.
Draw a few tiny curves that run through it to create the first link in the chain. A second vertical link will pass across it and the link will also join to a smaller circle.
The small shape connects to the upper part of the second handcuff’s arm.
We’ll for now sketch the top of the second bracelet however there’ll be a gap in the bottom, which we’ll be filling in shortly.
Step 4: Now draw additional parts of the handcuffs
We left a small gap in the middle of the drawing that was drawn in the earlier step of the handcuff drawing and now it is time to complete the drawing by expanding the piece.
To do this, you simply continue to make the lines long, curving lines, which will eventually form an edge that is rounded at the very end.
It is also possible to add lines on the top of the piece to give it some shading.
After you’ve completed drawing the new area, you’ll only have one additional section to draw at the time of for the following step.
Step 5: Add last details to your handcuffs sketch
We can now finish this image by drawing the final portion before coloring it when you get to the final step of this drawing handcuffs video tutorial.
For a complete cuff, just add two curves to the area in another loop in the cuff. Add some lines of detail and you’re all set for the final step!
Prior to this, you could paint the background to highlight the other items that these cuffs could be sitting on. What is the best way to finish this sketch?
Step 6 – Finish your handcuff sketch using colors
The last part of your handcuff sketch, you’ll be finishing it with some colors. Handcuffs typically consist from metal, therefore we picked a variety of shades of gray in our sample image.
If you combine lighter and dark shades you could make an image that is more lively by using shadows.
These are the colors we selected However, you are free to pick any color you prefer to use! Don’t forget to color your background as well as any other objects that you have created.
