The expression of a pouting face is very common in manga and anime. This expression is a little more difficult to draw than others because it not only adjusts the facial features but also “warps the face” with the puffy cheeks.
The front view, which is directly in the eye of the viewer, and the 3/4 view are the most common views for pouting faces. The 3/4 view is for situations in which the character is shy or embarrassed, and the front view is often used to show “ticked-off” characters.

The eyes are located below the horizontal halfway point of your face, with the nose and chin between. The ears should be positioned between the top and bottom of the nose. First, determine the position of your bottom lip (between your nose and your chin), and then draw slightly higher.

You will want to draw your eyebrows lower so that you can create a pouting look. The upside-down curve of the mouth (reverse normal/smiling) is best. Tiny curves along the sides are created by the puffy cheeks.

Drawing a Pouting Animal Face – 3/4 View
To create a pouting look in the 3/4 view, draw your eyebrows lower with the eyes looking down (optional) and slightly squinted.
Apply blush to your cheeks, and draw the mouth slightly in front of the nose. Draw the mouth again with an upside-down curve (reverse of the normal) and two smaller curves to the sides.
This expression, which is slightly different than the forward-facing one, adds a bit of shyness to the character. The shy/embarrassed appearance can be further reinforced by adding blush to the cheeks or drawing the eyes down.
