This lesson will teach you how to draw a Vampire – an interesting and creepy character from myths.
Vampires are often characterized by a painful appearance, thinness, large fangs, and dark hair. A red or black cape is often seen on a vampire’s face.
It is important to note that there are many other images of vampires in different works. They can look like normal businessmen with pale skin or completely naked.
Let’s now learn how to draw a vamp with this 15-step art guide.
First, draw a straight vertical line – this is where the body’s central base will be found. Draw a straight vertical line at the top. This is the head of our monster. At the bottom, draw a horizontal oval. This is the hip portion of our monster. Below the head, draw the ribcage.
Draw three points along the sides of your shoulders. These lines will be connected with lines. Two lines should be connected by dots. The fold of the arm is indicated at the midpoint. Sketch the legs the same way as the pelvis.
Connect the ribcage to the hip area with lines. Next, give volume to your shoulders. Then, draw auxiliary lines that intersect at the top of the head. Next, draw the outline of the neck.
This is the stage where the vampire will start to take on his famous image. Draw the muscles of the arms. Add volume to the arms by drawing circles around the shoulders. The palms of the monster can be drawn schematically.
Add volume to your legs by drawing simple lines. Similar to the stage with arms, draw two circles in the middle of the leg where the knees should be.
You will need to draw details at this stage. The eyes and eyebrow arches should be drawn on the face. The mouth should not be compared to a human face. Don’t forget to include the fangs of the vampire.
Make the head look more real by marking the chin and making the nape more prominent. Next, draw the hairline. Finally, show the slightly pointed ears. It will give the vampire a familiar appearance.
Let’s now draw the monster’s clothes. Let’s begin with the cape. Next, draw the collar using sharp arched lines that extend behind the head. The triangles can be used to draw the collar around the neck. Next, add the fabric behind your monster with vertical lines. Finally, denote the bottom part of the cape using a wavy line.
Draw a tie starting at the collar. In the middle, draw a fold. Next, add three buttons. Draw the jacket’s bottom with straight lines.
Trace the sleeves using smooth lines. Next, trace the sleeves in the area where the wrists are. A few folds should be made at the junction of your forearms and upper arms.
Draw your fingers and let the thumbs stick out. This stage is hard because it is very difficult to draw hands using geometric shapes. Just make sure you capture the right length of your fingers to avoid them becoming too long or too short. Before you draw on your monster’s hands, practice with a different piece of paper.
This stage is simple as we will need to draw some folds at the bottom and trace the legs using thicker lines.
Draw a thicker sole underneath the foot. Rounded the toes of the shoes. Next, trace a pattern onto the shoes.
Remove all auxiliary lines slowly and carefully. This will leave just the main figure of a vampire. You will need to remove the lines dividing the face and supporting the arms and legs.
The most exciting part of drawing is adding color. Although you can color the vampire in any way you like, the most common colors for depicting vampires are black, red, and white. The hair was blackened and the hands were painted with a pale, almost deathly pale (white with a slight bluish tint). Both the shoes and upper part of this cape are black. Bright red is used for the tie and underside. Dark gray is the vampire costume. The shirt is beige to not blend in with the white skin.
