HOW TO DRAW A TOURIST

Today we will inform you of drawing tourist figures. This is among the most common lessons that are perfect to learn the skill of drawing proportions for the person.

Step 1

The character we have chosen has a unique pose. Let’s draw a stickman, who can help to emphasize the features of the pose as well as the essential proportions and the position of the figure on paper. In addition, we made an amazing guide to human proportions. Make sure you study this guide prior to drawing an illustration of a stickman.

The protagonist bent his arms around the elbow joints and then tilted his head. This is a common way of reading something on the display of a device or a newspaper.

Step 2

In the first section, we traced three round shapes, namely the chest, head, and pelvis. The next step is to connect these three figures to determine the anatomy of the right body. The first step is to connect the chest and head by using a truncated cylindrical. This means that we can have the neck in the process when we are tilting our heads. In the second, we join the pelvis and the chest with the help of two beautiful lines. These lines are the lines of the abdomen.

When we are done with this process, we draw two lines intersecting in the skin to mark where the nose, eyes, and mouth are.

Step 3

In this stage, we will do similar actions. However, we will now focus on the limbs of our character. To draw out the shape of the legs and arms We will need cylindrical cylinders that have straight and bent in distal directions. The large joints appear like balls that are inserted between the cylinders. Avoid shapes that are too broad and have strong bends.

The feet and hands appear like tiny polygons. You can draw anything inside the fingers of the character. It could, for instance, be a map of a city or even a gadget.

Step 4

We’ve finished working with the contours of our bodies. Now, we can sketch our tourist attire. You are able to pick any outfit that you like. If you wish to achieve an appearance that resembles the tourist in our example then you need to outline the lines of your long shorts and shirt. Be aware of the proportions of the fabric and the lines of the limbs.

In this step, we sketch out the features of the nose, eyes as well as ears, and mouth. Check out our tutorial about the size of the face prior to making use of facial characteristics. This will make drawing more effective.

Step 5

This is why we will continue with the tutorial on drawing an image of a tourist. In this stage, we’ll sketch the final facial characteristics of our model. You can observe the drawing we have drawn has not had a lot of detail. The correct arrangement of short strokes is a perfect way to show the character’s posture and attitude.

Step 6

We’re almost nearing the end of our journey. This step removes any extra rules that our character’s hands have. In the next step, we will create the hand’s contours and the accessories. In our case, it’s a wristwatch.

While drawing your fingers, be aware of the shape and size of your fingers, and also the position of each finger in relation to the other fingers. Look over our tutorial on drawing fingers, to make this process simpler.

Step 7

Eliminate any excess lines in the leg of the character. Draw shorts and sandals. You may also choose different footwear, for instance, gym shoes or sneakers. If you do, try not to overlook the smallest aspects, like folds in the fabric of your shorts, pockets, and belts that are worn on sandals.

Step 8

It looks pretty nice, doesn’t it? Let’s apply some shadows for the drawn drawing. In our example shadows are seen in a simplified manner which is to say, parts of single-layer, small-sized hatching.

It can be made easier by drawing lines of areas that are shaded and then covering them with an individual layer of shading. You can try creating complicated shadows by studying our tutorial on shadows and light in drawing for academic purposes.
