You can use many different utensils to prepare and consume all kinds of food.
Each type has its own features and uses, so each one was designed to be the best for its purpose.
Spoons are one of the most versatile utensils because they can be used for baking, measuring, and even to eat liquid-based foods.
Although we may be all familiar with this tool, drawing a spoon can be quite difficult.
This is what we are here for. However, if you’ve read this guide, you shouldn’t have any problems!
This step-by-step guide will help you draw a spoon in 6 simple steps.
1st Step:
The most important part of a spoon drawing is the one that holds the food or ingredients it is being used for.
This step is also quite simple. You can begin by drawing a thin, horizontal oval shape.
Next, draw a second line that curves tightly around the oval’s perimeter. For now, it will be around the oval’s top half. We will draw the rest of the oval soon.
You can move on to step 2 once your product looks like the image in our reference photo.
2nd Step:
This is the second step in your spoon drawing. We will be drawing what we call the bowl of spoon.
It is easy to understand why it is called that. It functions as a small bowl that holds whatever substance it is being used for.
Draw a curve line below the oval you have drawn previously to draw this bowl. This will create a small rim around the oval.
This is all you need to know for now. Then, continue the drawing in the third stage.
3rd Step:
We will continue with the tutorial on how to draw a spoon. Next, we’ll draw the handle.
You can also draw a line that moves away from the spoon. This is another easy step. Although it will curve slightly, the line should still be straight.
For now, we will only draw half the handle. However, we will soon be able to draw more.
4th Step:
Now you can finish drawing the tip for the handle that was drawn in the third step.
You can simply extend the line you traced in the last section of the guide and curve it in at the end.
Our example has a slightly sharp edge. However, you can make it more round if you wish. A small oval could be drawn near the end to make a hole for the spoon’s hanging.
Once you are satisfied with the design, you can move on to the next step.
5th Step:
You are now ready to complete the last details. This guide will show you how to draw a spoon. After you have completed the details, you can add some color to the last step of the guide.
You can start by completing the outline of the spoon handle, connecting it to the bowl.
It will then be easy to draw more details.
These will have a rim running along the handle. Then you can draw a line inside the bowl to indicate that something is within.
You can add your own details to complete the image. You could draw the spoon’s use or purpose, as well as a background.
What color will you add to it?
6th Step:
This is the last step in your spoon drawing. In it, we will add color. We used some grey shades in our reference image to give the spoon a metallic appearance.
