Below is a step-by-step drawing tutorial.
How to Draw a Roadrunner Bird Step by Step
Step 1
Begin by drawing a straight line that is long and curve to outline the top of your head, neck, belly, and back.
Step 2
From the top of the first, draw a long, curving line. This will outline the back and side of your head. To form the bird’s tail, increase the length of the second line until it reaches the end.
Step 3
To create a heart-shaped section on the bird’s body, use a series of curve lines. This is the shape of the wings. The line should be doubled at the top to join the tail feathers. To enclose the edge the distal wings, draw a long, straight line from the bird’s chest.
Step 4
View the face details of the raptor and delete as necessary. To create a pointed beak, surround a curved teardrop shape. To distinguish the top from the bottom, draw a line that is wavy across it. To form a furrowed eyebrow, draw a wavy straight line. Draw a smaller circle around the circle you just created. Shade between two circles.
Step 5
Then, trace the pins and erase as necessary. Start with a long, straight line for each leg. It should be connected to the body using a series of “U”-shaped lines. This is the indication of feathers and “flags”.
Step 6
To draw your feet, use curved lines. To form each toe, duplicate the line. To indicate a claw, draw a small triangle at each tip of each foot.
Step 7
Use curved lines to draw the leg remaining. To indicate the nails, draw small triangles that curve.
