Some objects are something that we will see almost every day. One of these objects is milk cartons. We use milk in everything from hot drinks to baking and breakfast cereals.
The most difficult objects to draw are often the ones we are most familiar. Learning how to draw a milk container can be more difficult than you might think.
It may seem difficult, but it is possible. If you know what to do, it will be easier. This is exactly what the guide will show you.
This step-by-step guide will help you draw a milk carton.
How to Draw A Milk Carton – Let’s Get Started!
1st Step:
You may need a ruler to help you draw the milk carton.
This is true for the first step of our guide. We will begin by drawing a straight vertical line for the milk carton.
Next, draw two lines that are much shorter than the central one to cover the top of your carton. You can also add a horizontal line to the carton’s top edge.
Do your best to reproduce the lines in the reference image. Then we can move to step 2.
2nd Step:
This is the part of your milk carton drawing where we will add more to the carton’s top. This step is where a ruler will come in handy!
To give it depth, you will need to draw the cap of your milk carton.
Finish this step by drawing all the edges of the carton’s top. Although it may appear a little bare at the moment, we will soon add details!
3rd Step:
Drawing common objects like these can be difficult because of the small details that can be tricky to capture.
In this step of our tutorial on how to draw milk cartons, we will be focusing on one aspect. Draw a diagonal line from the corner of the carton’s top to the flap at the top.
For more depth, draw another line within the triangle you have made.
Finalize this step by drawing a straightline on the right-hand side of the carton and the base. Add some details to the cap.
4th Step:
This step will finish the outline of your milk carton drawing. Fortunately, this is a simple step!
Use your ruler to draw the line for the left-hand milk carton. Then, add another ruler for the base.
This is it. Now you can add decorative details to your milk carton in the next step.
5th Step:
The fifth step in is about decorating the sides of the milk carton.
In our example image, we wrote “milk” in cartoonish bubble letter style and added some wavy lines to the sides and front of each carton.
These are the details we chose. However, you can change them up at any time! You have many options for text and lines that you can use to make your image unique.
You can also draw a background to help you do this. Another option is to draw other breakfast foods or beverages in addition to the milk carton.
This is just one idea. What other ideas can you come up with to complete the picture?
6th Step:
This is the last step in your milk carton drawing. We will finish it with some color.
This is the most important step in the guide. You can make your own creative decisions.
We chose a cooler color palette for our milk carton. This was achieved by using light blues, greens, and yellows.
These suggestions are only guidelines. You can use any color you want.
This is the type of drawing that you can do whatever you want with your colors. Have fun being creative!
What art mediums can you use to add the colors once you have identified the colors you want to use? We are excited to see what you come up with!
