They can be both visually diverse and dangerous to other animals.
You wouldn’t want to be on the wrong side of the king cobra! These snakes are not only deadly, but also very beautiful.
Learning how to draw a King Cobra can be a thrilling and fun experience.

This step-by-step guide will help you create amazing artwork with this animal.
1st Step:
The head is the first part of our guide to drawing a king cobra.
Begin by creating a curved line for the top portion of your head. Next, create a rounded line for the top part of your mouth.
You can draw fangs by drawing small, sharp lines on the roof of your mouth. Then you can add more curves to the open mouth.
The open mouth will have a twisty forked tongue sticking out. Next, draw a line that extends from the back of the head to the neck. It will then be time to move on to step 2.
2nd Step:
Next, you will add more details to the body of the king cobra. Draw a straight line from the bottom of your king cobra’s mouth to the edge of its jaw.
A smaller, rounder line can be drawn around the base to indicate the location of the tongue.
Next, draw two curvey lines that run down from the head and then twist around. This is the next section of your body, as well as the outline for the belly.
This section can be tricky so make sure to follow the exact lines as shown in the reference image.
Once you are ready, we can move on to step 3.
3rd Step:
We will complete the outline of the body before adding more details. Refer to our guide on drawing a King Cobra.
The next section of the body will follow the snake and will be twisty and wavey to indicate that it is slithering along.
This section can be difficult to master, so be sure to copy our image closely!
4th Step:
Now that the entire body outline has been completed, we will add the final details and touches in the next steps.
Next, draw the eyes of your king cobra. First, draw a small circle and then add another smaller one around it.
To give the snake an intense expression, add a wavy line to it. You can finish the eye by adding a few lines that poke out of it.
Next, we will draw some horizontally curved lines across the snake’s belly. If the snake were alive, these would provide friction to allow it to move.

5th Step:

We will then finish the last details so that you are ready to color. First, draw stripes around the body of the snake.
These can be drawn to show the shadow cast by the snake.
