Hi dear readers! We present to you today a tutorial on how to draw a flail. A flexible-jointed melee weapon that can deliver shock-shattering power is the flail. It is a shock load made of bone, metal, or stone, connected by a suspension (chain or strap, or strong rope), with a wooden handle and shaft.
Step 1
Draw the shaft of your flail as a long figure. Although we have drawn a shaft that is long enough, it can be shorter than the one in our example.

Next, draw a curve junction and the load. In our example, it looks like a ball. But, it can take any shape.

Make spikes that point in different directions. Our example shows the load of the flail as a morning star.

Instead of using the line from the second stage, draw a chain. As we mentioned, a chain can also be a strong rope or strap.

Wrap the flail with leather, fabric, or any other material that guarantees a firm grip to prevent it from slipping out of your hands. Use short lines to draw the wrap.

We can imagine the light falling from above, so we need to place shadows on the handle and load with hatching.
