This guide will show you how to draw a cute Koala and create a beautiful illustration.
How To Draw A Cute Koala Step-By-Step
1st Step:
Draw two circles to represent the eyes of the koala. Once you have the shapes correct, darken the lines. Draw the eyes closer together. You should leave enough space in the middle to accommodate the nose. To represent glare, shade the eyes with a few circles inside each eye. The right eye should be slightly smaller than the left eye.
2nd Step:
Draw a small circle between the eyes that looks like an upside-down U for the nose. To finish the nose shape of the Koala, draw a small line at its bottom.
3rd Step:
Draw a horizontal line below the nose for the base of your head. Curve the line to the right to create the cheek of the koala. To create the opposite cheek, curve the line to the left.
4th Step:
For the top of your head, continue to draw the line from the right side up. Pay attention to the height of your head. To get the line correct, you should start by sketching lightly. Once you have the shape perfected, darken the line. For the koala’s fur, add a few jagged lines to the top.
5th Step:
Draw a curve line to the first ear on the left side. Because Koalas have large ears, make the curved line long. You should make it look like the letter C. To represent fur, add some jagged lines.
6th Step:
Draw another big, curved line on the right side of the head for the koala’s other ear. Remember to use jagged lines along the way, especially at the bottom to represent fur.
7th Step:
To emphasize the koala’s fur and structure, draw a few lines in each ear.
8th Step:
Draw a long arc under the head with a sideways orientation so that the koala can reach the arm.
9th Step:
Draw a larger, more circular arc under the arm for the top of the koala’s leg.
10th Step:
Draw a straight line for your foot at the bottom. The foot should be slightly overlaid by the top of the koala’s leg.
11th Step:
To complete the body of the koala, draw a long, curving line from the left. The body line should extend from the lower left side of your head to the foot.
12th Step:
You will need to draw a tree trunk with a few lines, so the koala can hold onto something. Draw a straight line from the right to draw a long vertical line. If necessary, you can use a straight line. For the rest of your tree, add shorter lines to the top and bottom of the koala.
13th Step:
To make your koala drawing permanent, use a marker or pen to carefully trace over the lines. Use an eraser to remove any pencil marks.
Final Step:
Use color pencils, markers, or crayons to color your cartoon koala illustration! Gray fur is best, but you can leave the ears and the strip under the head and body uncolored. To make it easier to draw, you can color the entire body of the koala gray without using the white bits. To represent shine, color the nose black. The inside of your ears should be pink. Also, add some pink to your mouth under the nose. The tree trunk should be light brown. When coloring the tree trunk, don’t overlap the Koala. You can pause the video and draw at your own speed.
