Hello, dear readers! Today, we begin an entirely new drawing class in which we’ll focus on drawing an athlete. It is important to note that the drawings of our artists as you will see at the start of this post, are in a way an excellent middle ground between hard academic drawing and primitive techniques of drawing. We’ve tried to create this difficult figure that can even draw young artists. Let’s begin to learn about drawing bodybuilders, especially novices!
Step 1
We start, as we always do by drawing a stickman, one of the sticks and circles are drawn to show the dimensions, shapes, and positions of our characters on the paper. We draw a human figure therefore we recommend that you follow the guidelines for drawing an adult male, which we sketched in our lesson on drawing the figure of a man.
But there are some major variations. For one the shoulders are significantly larger (it will be evident in the next step). The head is a normal oval, just like in other drawing classes. Its lines are created by gentle pressure on the pencil.
Step 2
On other hand, the stage is one of the most difficult it is the most difficult part of this drawing class. On the other hand, it’s extremely difficult to misdraw the muscles of today’s characters. Each arm is depicted with two bulging rounds that are the deltoid muscles of the arm and the Biceps. Forearms, as we can see, are narrowing down from the elbow towards the wrist region.
The torso’s torso shows a prominent curve toward the waist. The pelvis must have the form of an arc. Draw the legs which are expanding through between the thigh as well as the calf muscles. They are shrinking around the ankles and knees.
Step 3
This is an easy step yet it is vitally important. In this step, we draw the cheekbones, chin, and nostrils of our athletes. Also, note the ear and the shape that the haircut has. Be aware of the most important rule: eyebrows are close to the top of the ear. the nose’s tip runs parallel to the bottom portion of the ear.
Step 4
Eliminate any additional guidelines from the head, and draw the facial characteristics. Draw a smiley mouth and the nasolabial folds. Be aware that, unlike other drawing classes, for instance, the Jaxon Wizard this one, we only look at only a few specifics. This is the reason this tutorial is designed for beginners. After you’ve completed the appearance of an athletic person, proceed to the next stage of this tutorial to learn drawing the bodybuilder of your choice for beginners.
Step 5
Here we draw the massive figure of the hero. At the very top, draw two pectoral muscles that are massive (the proper name is the pectoralis major). They resemble two huge convex plates. When we look at the intersection of muscle that runs through the middle, there are four lines of smoothness. Above the chest muscles of the neck region, draw two Oblique lines.
Below, you can draw relief from the well-defined muscles of your abdominal muscles. Each “cube” are smooth and slightly curving. The sides of the abbs, draw an oblique line that is actually the obliques.
Step 6
The bodybuilder is beginning to get the perfect appearance. We will now focus to strengthen his upper arms. Draw the contours of the Biceps (the most noticeable muscles in this posture) and triceps in opposite directions of the arm (in fact, they are the largest muscles in those arms).
Then, draw your forearms’ lines as well as the fists. Drawing the lines drawn by muscles in the arm contours. Be aware of your fingers don’t make any mistakes by their size.
Step 7
We conclude our drawing class. Draw the cowards and erase from them additional guidelines and draw on the muscle. Internal lines connect to knee joints. Draw those knee joints. Sketch the line of muscles in the calf.
The second and third steps create toes and outline some flowing lines that are just over the foot.
